NAVRO club house construction 34
Alblasserdam, 10 November, 2007 - On the rainy Monday of 29 October a container was placed behind our club house, because we could use more storage space. The lorry which carried the container only just fitted next to our club house to unload the container.
Saturday 10 November we moved the last of our bigger stuff to the new container. We had some length of rack and two closets stored in a members shed. Our launch day and motor test equipment were also temporarily stored here. Meanwhile Fred van Arkel made himself useful by making a support for the freezer in the kitchen and a shelf in the storage room. After the van was emptied, several jobs were done. The leaks in the container were sealed, including a fairly bad one on the roof, by Arjen Plaizier. He also touched up the rusty parts of the roof both in and outside with protective paint for metal. Others cleaned up and decorated the interior of the club house by hanging rockets on the ceiling and pictures on the walls.

Elco Lagendijk and Arjen Plaizier are fixing a large hole in the container's roof.
After the hole was repaired with a piece bicycle tube and kit, a brick was put on it as weight.
An unusual view of our club house taken from the container.
Fred van Arkel had made a shelf for a small freezer in the kitchen.
Arjen Plaizier later did a more solid repair with a piece of board to the large hole in the container's roof.
Harry Advokaat, Fred van Arkel and Peter Leemker made a selection of pictures to hang on the walls.
