NAVRO club house construction 24

Alblasserdam, 29 July, 2007 - Again a lot of work was done this week. Early this week Peter Heeren had fixed the ventilation unit and hood to the wall in the kitchen. Wednesday 25 July small jobs were done like securing the top of the bar, finishing the electrical work on the workbench and making a light in the fume-cupboard.

Friday evening, Harry Advokaat, Peter Leemker and Pleun Punt went on a shopping trip for some much needed materials, like kitchen cupboards, spot lights, paint for the bar, screws and suspension materials for the upper part of the bar. Saturday Harry Advokaat and Pleun Punt made the upper part of the bar, which was later with help suspended above the bar. Peter Heeren finished his work on the ventilation units, by making the piping for the one in the kitchen. He later constructed both kitchen cupboards.

Sunday Harry Advokaat finished the construction of the upper part of the bar, by securing it to the wall and connecting one of the spot lights in it. Pleun Punt modified some spot lights, which he mounted on the ceiling beams and connected them. Peter Heeren finished the construction of the fume-cupboard, for which he cut and fitted a transparent sheet. Later the sheet was removed and Fred van Arkel painted the wooden parts of the fume-cupboard. Elco Lagendijk cut a piece of stainless steel to fit in the gap between the wall and the sink in the fume-cupboard. Harry Advokaat, Fred van Arkel and Pleun Punt painted large area's of the bar very dark blue: the top, the foot support and the workspace behind the bar.
