NAVRO club house construction 22

Alblasserdam, 15 July, 2007 - Wednesday 11 July we were to hold our first meeting in our new club house, so Monday we made the final preparations to make it happen. Anti-scratch pads were put on the bar stool legs and one of the refrigerators was placed. Meanwhile Harry Advokaat continued working on the bar. He routed a rounded side on the top of the bar and sanded it with a surface sander.
Wednesday around noon Peter Heeren and Pleun Punt started making the shelves which are coming above the workbench in the workshop. Peter Heeren finished the shelves later that week. Wednesday evening Harry Advokaat started making the foot support of the bar. Arjen Plaizier prepared for making a concrete slope. We also held our first meeting in the club house and the evening ended as usual with beer.
Saturday Louis Vinke of LV Belettering put special foil on the windows to reduce the heat getting in trough the windows. While Pleun Punt grounded the shelves (and thereby running out of paint), Arjen Plaizier started making the slope for which he prepared Wednesday. Pleun Punt also started making the corner part of the bar's foot support.
Sunday Pleun Punt finished grounding the shelves. Peter Leemker assisted by Pleun Punt shaved some length from the underside of the internal doors, which were to low for the doormat. Meanwhile Fred van Arkel and Elco Lagendijk cut the frame of the small workbench in two, as well as it's top, and attached it to the large workbench. After Pleun Punt finished the foot support, he and Elco Lagendijk collected the oven from our old location and cleaned it. We needed it to determine the height of the lowest shelf above the workbench. At the end of the day the shelves were painted the first time.
