NAVRO club house construction 4
Alblasserdam, 22 March, 2007 - Tuesday 22 March the contractors Idis Klusbedrijf and Bouwbedrijf Fortuyn started the construction of the NAVRO club house. After some preparations they began with placing prefab side panels. This went smoothly until the last panel of the front side when they discovered that the steel beam, on which the side panels are secured, was just a bit too long. The confusion was due to different versions of the building plans. The next day some centimetres of beam will be removed on the front and rear side beams with a welding torch. Furthermore more panels were placed on the rear side, except for the last one.
All prefab side panels before construction started.
The side panels were brought to their location by a fork-lift truck with a handy crane.
The first side panel is being placed.
The first side panel is erected.
The side panels are secured with small steel pieces to the steel beams.
A nail gun shoots nails in the panels where they interlock.
Some side panels with location codes. These are door and window panels.
Soon one side was erected.
The front side had to be supported.
The outside of the side panel had to stick out over the steal beam, but was just a little short.
This is what the contractors constructed this day.
